.... until I find out if I am having an Isabelle or a Charlie!

Oh, fantastic. Great names that you have picked out. Is this your first child? I have a two year old son and I am just getting ready to go back to work after having been a stay-at-home mom for the last two years. I really needed that time. I found motherhood such a powerful life transition - totally changing my sense of self and my location in the world that it was disorienting and stressful in ways that I never anticipated. Plus...the sweet tenderness and unending love I feel for my child...becoming a mother broke my heart wide open when I didn't even realize that I had closed it up so much over the course of my life. I would love to hear about your experience of being a feminist mama....I found becoming a mother made me understand and care about feminist issues even more than I had before.
Congratulations on your pregnancy and soon to be son or daughter!

thank you very much... full names will be isabelle grace and charles nicholas. this will be my first child and i'm extremely excited about it. i consider myself a feminist in the respect of claiming my sexuality and fighting for equality in relationships as well as the workforce. i think those are my biggest issues. what about you?

sorry, replying to this comment so late. Anyways, my feminism is very broad based and also includes concerns similar to the ones that you stated - sexuality, relationships, childcare, economic and career opportunities, etc.etc. This community is so quiet. Maybe I will post to find out who is out there and try and get some discussion going.
